Making a bag of microwave popcorn is something most of us consider a no brainer. Microwaves today even have a button on there for this exact task, labeled so rightly "popcorn". Modern day appliance manufacturing has gone so far as to accomodate the microwavable popcorn bag unit! Gone are the days of the free flowing kernal on the stovetop. There are only muffled pops we hear from inside the humming box courtesey of Kenmore, Whirlpool, or GE and the marvels of trans-Pacific container shipping technologies linking the U.S. and China.
So tonight, I nuked a bag of popcorn to eat while reading my academic allotment for the evening. Almost through the bag, I got a little tired of the material at hand, and my attention began to focus on the fine print of the microwave bag beside me.
Directions: Microwave HIGH four minutes. Beware: Hot oil and popping kernals.
Note: Do not use "Popcorn" button on microwave.
Say wha??? Apparently this brand feels there is inaccuracty of popping potential when one uses the pre-set popcorn button. But I beg to differ. I used that exact button and there were only about 10 kernals unpopped...and not any signs of singed corn! The people at Orville Redenbacher need to get over themselves. They are part of the popcorn button machine, like it or not.

One of those (hungry) days
Since I woke up today at 9am, I have been eating pretty much nonstop. It's one of those days where you can just continually eat, you remain hungry, and you can't really get anything done because you are thinking about your stomach.
While I hope this state of body will not continue much longer, I am not one to ignore the calls of my cuerpo. I shall try to distract it with some coffee from stada. I have a feeling the GIS project I am going to begin in an hour will make the hunger pangs in my gut all the stronger. GIS has a way of doing that to a person.

Back on the blogger
I strayed away from Blogger for about 6 months, dabbling on Journalscape and something called Squarespace. I am back on Blogger for a few reasons. One, it's free. Two, I've used it before. Three, I appreciate the fact that they send you complimentary muffins and champagne upon opening an account.
Miss E returns to Blogger full of anticipation to talk to anyone about the good things in life, namely music, food, views, and my outrageous social life. Heh.
Ok, time to retire.
